Billy has the ability to take a good athlete and take them to the next level. The mechanics of most batter’s swings needs some subtle tweeks every so often to keep it working for the athlete. After listening to his teaching methods I believe the next level involves working the count to a hitter’s favor, understanding the zones a pitcher wants to work you, identifying pitches and understanding how to hit the ball where it is pitched. My son has benefited from Billy’s easy manner of coaxing/coaching him to take it to the next level. He is realizing that it takes more than just being a talented athlete to have success.

I contacted Cactus Athletic Camps for some hitting lessons for my son who had been struggling with inside pitches. I spoke with Billy Horton and we set up our first lesson. He immediately saw what was happening and developed a corrective procedure. By the second lesson my son got it and now can hit on any side of the plate.
