Taylor Silva, a 15 year old from Kahului, Hawaii, is our Student-Athlete of the week. He earned this week’s honor by being voted the M.V.P. of Summer Baseball Camp #9. Taylor showed tremendous athleticism in the field and a powerful stroke in the batter’s box. The great thing about this award is that it was voted on by the players who attended the camp, not the coaches. That shows you the amount of respect that this talent demanded in only 1 week’s time.
Taylor is going into his sophomore year at St. Anthony High School in Maui, Hawaii. He is a multi-sport athlete and holds a 2.50 grade point average in the classroom. Taylor played linebacker on the junior varsity football team last year and was the starting first baseman for the varsity baseball team as a freshman! On the field he hit a solid .300 and drove in 10 RBI’s. Pretty impressive!
When Taylor is not punishing the baseball or running backs, he like to spend time with his family. He also takes advantage of living in paradise by jumping on his boogie board and attacking the waves in the Pacific Ocean. Congratulations Taylor and we look forward to watching you progress over the coming years!
